ABOUT ME

As a Set Decorator, I'm interested in the art of cinematic storytelling through space and objects. Transforming a blank space into a living, breathing world. The opportunity to work with talented creatives who share my passion for storytelling drives me to view each project as a new challenge. 

 

The first port of call for me is to delve deep into the script, collaborating with the production designer to ensure a cohesive vision. I’m deeply fascinated by the research process, whether that’s exploring source material, seeking out in depth historical references, the intricate details of nature, or the grandeur of architecture. My natural curiosity and love of exploring of art, cinema, culture means I can draw on this knowledge base to reinforce the cinematic world.

 

Working on a range of genres from high fantasy (Rings of Power), medieval series (Witcher), period dramas (Colette, Death by Lightning), futuristic sci-fi worlds (Foundation), and steampunk (The Nevers). I've had the opportunity to work with talented directors, producers, and production designers to create immersive and engaging sets. 

 

With a diligent approach to my career, it has allowed me to experience a multitude of roles with the set decoration department. My background as a Buyer means that I see the creative potential in everyday objects, scouring flea markets, prop houses, scrapyards for the perfect pieces that bring the set to life. 

 

I thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and am always looking for opportunities to work with like-minded creatives who share my passion for storytelling. Whether it's a big-budget blockbuster or a small independent film, I'm dedicated to bringing my skills and expertise to every project I work on.

My passion is to craft immersive environments that transport audiences to new worlds and evoke emotions that linger long after the credits roll.
